I couldn't stand it another day. I had to feel sun on my face and remember what it feels like to be warm. So when we realized, at the last minute, that the kids were going to be out of school for a random Monday, we took the long weekend and headed to St. George to find some sun. Brady and Cole loved the hammock, and I loved that they wanted to read so much.
Griffin loved the sand box. Poor kid learned to walk about the time the cold weather hit around here, so he hasn't really even had a chance to explore our own backyard. He is going to love it!
Hyatt wanted to play jam-ball all day. Look at that blue sky, and look at the reach on that kid!
Griff wanted to play too, but mostly he just wanted to be barefoot, and throw the sand on the basketball court. It was the perfect trip. It was just what we all needed. I think we can hang on untill March around here.

Multi Tasking
Does this make me a bad mom?
Is it wrong to use nap time as get stuff done time?
Is it wrong that I think my bag is soft enough to double as a pillow?
Is it wrong that this is not my first offense?
It it wrong that he slept through the whole trip, even when there was a gallon of orange juice in between his legs and artichokes
stacked up around his ears?
I got some dirty looks in the store, but only when I was checking my email on my cell phone while pushing the cart.
(Turns out it takes two hands to steer very effectively)
Who knew nap time could be so productive.
