I can never figure out the order on this blog

A little note to explain the previous posts, I cannot figure out how to get the order right on my posts and I am a total dork so the explanation for the party is the very first post, and the order is all out of wack. Sorry. I think I need to take a class on blogging (oh crap, I am soooo old).

Happy Birthday Mom and Dad!!

The party was a hit, we made the cutest video and during the show, Dad reached over and held Mom's hand, and Jessie snapped this pic. I'm glad she got it, because Kris and I were crying so hard we couldn't see. It was really a perfect night! The 3 musketeers
My aunt Luanne and cousin Casey
Kris and Me, do you think we are sisters? I don't really see the resemblance...

Mom came in first, the look on her face says it all! Then Dad came through the door like 2 seconds later, I bet he wanted to kill me right then.
I wish we had a picture of the other side of this, about a hundred people all yelling Surprise!
And then there was this. . . and we all knew it was worth the work and the planning.
Hyatt tried to eat his own body weight in chocolate eclairs, as evidenced by his chocolate face!

Three weeks of cooking, as it turns out I am not a caterer, but I faked it anyway. Kristalyn and Kristen helped and we pulled it off Traci made the cutest book with letters from all of my parents friends, people wrote the nicest things! It was really fun to see how much my parents are loved.
My friend Jill did the flowers, and they were just perfect.

B.J. was in charge of the technical portion of the program, this is 5 minutes before the party, and he is looking for all the cables he forgot to bring. . . good thing he has a wife who loves him enough to pick up the slack huh?
Lots of people, lots of fun!

Happy Birthday Mom and Dad

It has been forever since I put up a new post, this is for two reasons... the first is that I am not very good at the whole blog thing yet, and every post takes me forever to do, and the second reason is that I have been planing this party for my parents and it has taken all the free time that I have (which isn't much with Griffin in the mix). We planned this surprise party for my parents for their 70th birthday and 50th anniversary. It was so much fun, but it was so freakin' hard to keep it a secret. I thought I was going to loose my mind! We had about 95 people there, including my brother Cam and his family that came from Denver and hid out at my sister's house for two days, and my dad's sister Luanne that came from Arizona just for the party. My parents were so surprised, and It was totally worth all of the work. We couldn't have done it with out everyones help, every single person in the family helped in some way, and It was the best night ever!! I think Mom and Dad will be talking about it for years to come!
